Bon, Anna: Divertimento à tre (G-major), for 2 flutes and bass, mov.1. Written by a woman composer in the 18th century. A PDF score is here. I play the first voice on the oboe. MP3 file generated from MIDI (play along: contains the 2 lower voices with sharp channel separation).
Brescianello, Giuseppe Antonio: Trio in C minor, mov. 1. + mov. 2, Brescianello - a born Italian (1690-1785) - was court musician at the court of Stuttgart (Germany). I publish here a shortened MP3 version and a MP3 play along version. The PDF scores are for the full score of mov. 1 and mov. and for the oboe voice. The original version produced by Nils Jönsson on IMSLP has some problems with the tempi. The bass voice is strong enough to be played on bassoon or violoncello without a cembalo.
Carulli, Benedetto: Trio C-Dur für zwei Klarinetten und Fagott, opus 1, mov. I "Allegro moderato". This nice and demanding piece has been written around 1850 for two C clarinets and bassoon. This version is for two Bb clarinets and bassoon. Benedetto Carulli should not be confused with the more famous composer Ferdinando Carulli specialized in classical guitar music. Haydn, Joseph: Divertimento Hob V:2 mov.1 Adagio. This is an arrangement of one of the "Streichtrios" for clarinet trio (2 Bb soprano, one bass clarinet). Some very high passages have been transposed clarinets. The first voice is for advanced players. The two other voices require an intermediate level. The PDF score is in this ZIP archive.

Haydn, Joseph: Divertimento Hob.V:10, mov.3 Moderato. The original is for two violins and violoncello. I have arranged the piece for two Bb soprano clarinets and a Bb bass clarinet. I didn't touch the original key so that this may be played also in a mixed (strings plus winds) setting. The PDF files (the three clarinet voices) in a zip archive are here.
Haydn, Joseph: Divertimento Hob. V:10, mov.3 Moderato. The same divertimento as above - here arranged for woodwind trio - for oboe, clarinet and bassoon. The first voice (now oboe) has been slightly arranged by me for better playability. PDFs for oboe, clarinet and bassoon or violoncello. The MP3 file has only the two lower voices (play along version for oboe). New, with MP3 play along
Haydn, Joseph: Trio Hoboken V:C7 no.3. The original setting for this trio is 2 violins + violoncello. My arrangement may be played as a pure string trio (vl 1, vl 2, vc), as a woodwind trio (oboe, cl, bassoon), as a pure clarinet trio (2 Bb sopranos, 1 bass cl.) or in a mixed setting (ex. vl, cl, bass cl.). Four movements: Andante, Menuett, Adagio, Presto. Midi file and zipped scores in PDF format.
I have also prepared a complete version for oboe. This includes a PDF score for oboe and a MP3 play along file (the oboe is missing). New: version for oboe with MP3
Holzbauer, Ignaz: Divertimento in D, mov. 1. This is an arrangement for wind trio. The original is written for a string trio (see IMSLP). Holzbauer (1711-1783) was one of the most prominent members of the "Mannheim School" of musicians. The material includes: MP3 file, MIDI file, PDF score, PDF Oboe or flute (1st voice), PDF Klar. in Bb (2nd voice), PDF Klar. in A (2nd voice), PDF violin (2nd voice), PDF bassoon or violoncello.
Huguenin, Charles (1870-1939?): Deux Trios, Trio 1 op.30, 2 mov. from 4(Oboe, Klarinette, Fagott). The scores can be found on IMSLP.

Krommer, Franz: Variations en Fa sur un thème de I.J.Pleyel. The original of this nice piece is for two oboes and English horn. I have arranged a version for three soprano clarinets in Bb (or two soprano clarinets and bass clarinet) contained in this zip archive (PDF files).
Massonneau, Louis: Oboe quartet no. 1 F major (MIDI file). Despite his French name Massonneau (1766 - 1848) was a German violinist, composer and orchestra director at the court of Schwerin. This really nice quartet has three movements: Allegro moderato, Adagio and Andante con variazioni. I include the PDF score for oboe. This MP3 file generated from MIDI has all movements and all instruments. And here is a play along version in MP3 format. New
Milhaud, Darius: Pastorale for oboe, clarinet and bassoon. This is a modern trio piece for wind intruments from the well known French composer Milhaud who lived from 1892-1974. The Bb-clarinet part is not very complicated except for the fugue in the mid. Midi file only.
Naumann, Johann Gottlieb (Amadeus): Triosonate Nr. 2 G-Dur Satz 1. This also known as "Divertimento Nr.2 G-Dur" or even as "Quatuor No. 2". Can be played with Oboe,Flute or Violin as first voice and with bassoon or violoncello as 2nd voice. The piano/harpsichord part is not a simple continuo part but has solo characteristic. Naumann was a composer in the classical era at the court of Dresden. He was also active in Italy, in Sweden and in Danmark. The base for this play-along version (no first voice!) can be found on IMSLP but also at the Dresden library SLUB (manuscripts and early prints). A MIDI version is also available at IMSLP. My MP3 version is based on the IMSLP MIDI version. New
Naumann, Johann Gottlieb (Amadeus): Duett B-Dur für Oboe und Fagott, Satz 2. Here are also play-along versions for Oboe and bassoon (violoncello). Naumann was a composer in the classical era at the court of Dresden. He was also active in Italy, in Sweden and in Danmark. New
Pla, José(?): Sonate 4 Satz 3 Allegretto. It is not very clear which member of the Catalonian Pla (mostly oboe players) family wrote that. This is for a quartet setting with 3 soprano voices (or 2 sopranos and an alto) and a bass. The alto voice can be played on a clarinet. Here is a MP3 file containing all voices. Two scores: a complete score and the 1st voice (oboe).
Platti, Giovanni: Trio sonata in G, mov. 1 and 2 for flute, oboe and basso continuo (Midi file). Platti (1700-1763) was an Italian composer working at the court of Würzburg/Germany.

A short note for meas. no.51: The IMSLP edition (as my version) shows here a D flat in the oboe and in the continuo voices whereas an other edition shows here normal D. New
Rigel, Henry-Joseph (1741-1799): Quartet op10 No.6 in A-Minor, mov. 1 (Allegro), 2 (Siciliano) and 3 (Grazioso). H.J. Rigel (also spelled Riegel) was born in Wertheim (Germany, near to my home) and lived later in Paris where he was known for his chamber music and for his symphonies. This is my arrangement for winds (oboe, 2 clar. bassoon) from a string quartet. I had to fix many errors from the early print I found on IMSLP. Included here is a score (PDF), the oboe voice (PDF), two clarinet voices (PDF), a bassoon voice (PDF, also for violoncello) and a MP3 sound file. New
Salieri, Antonio: Trio III, Larghetto and Presto from "Drei Trios für zwei Oboen und Fagott", MIDI. The first MP3 file has all voices whith sharp channel separation between oboe 1 and oboe 2. The second MP3 file has only the two oboe voices - I have omitted the bassoon voice for play along. New, MP3
Schaffrath, Christoph: Duetto in g-minor for bassoon and cembalo, mov. 1 and mov.2 (MIDI) . May also be played on the violoncello, medium complexity. Christop Schaffrath was a German baroque composer living from 1709 to 1763. I found this on IMSLP. As the IMSLP version shows no MIDI nor audio files I was forced to rewrite this in Capella in order to produce MIDI files and MP3 files. This is the score and this the bassoon voice in PDF. The MP3 files for mov. 1 and mov. 2 have - for practising purpose - no bassoon voice.
Telemann, Georg: Partita no.2 for oboe. Contains the first three movements: Siciliano, Air 1 and Air 2. The PDF file contains the complete score for the first three movements. Here is a MP3 play along version, i.e. without the oboe voice. Note that I have added some introduction bars before each movement.

Wagenseil, Georg Christoph: Sonata I in D WV445, mov. 1 Allegro assai. This original composition from the Vienna classical period shows the rather unusual setting for 3 violoncelli and double bass. The double bass part is simple. I have arranged this movement for winds quartet: here are voices in PDF format for oboe 1, oboe 2, clarinet (Bb) and bassoon.
Wagenseil, Georg Christoph: Sonata I in D, mov. 2 Larghetto. See my remarks for the first movement. This is one of the nicest pieces I ever heard - with some unusual harmonic sequences. Not easy to play in an ensemble. I have arranged this movement for winds quartet: here are voices in PDF format for oboe 1, oboe 2, clarinet (Bb) and bassoon.

Zelenka, Jan Dismas: Sonata I F-Dur für zwei Oboen, Fagott und Basso Continuo mov. 1 "Adagio ma non troppo". Zelenka lived from 1679 to 1749. I find that this is one of the nicest pieces for a double reed setting. Note that I didn't sequence the piano/cembalo part. The trio sounds great without this part. Midi file and MP3 play along file. Copyright and usage hints

The MIDI, PDF and MP3 files that you can download here have been prepared exclusively by me for training (practising) purpose. There is no deep concept in the choice of the pieces: they exist as they are as I needed them for a concrete playing context. In most cases I have the copyrights for these files. You may use them in non commercial contexts. If you want to use them in an Internet context then please create a link to this page - do not distribute (modified) copies.

If ever possible - and if I didn't forget to arrange it this way - the MIDI and MP3 files have the solo voice on the right channel (or the left channel if your cables are not correctly connected) and the rest of the voices on the other channel. You can suppress the solo channel to a large degree if your sound producing device (amplifier) has a "balance" or "pan" control. Unfortunately many of the newer amplifiers (called "boom boxes" etc.) do no longer have a balance/pan knob.

A special hint for MacIntosh and Android users: these operating systems have no builtin MIDI players - when you play the MIDI files you hear nothing! I have started to convert some MIDI files to MP3 - but it will last some months until I have converted and uploaded them all. This situation is a shame for MacIntosh (Apple) and Android (Google): MP3 files can't be modified in the same degree as MIDI files. Normally they are two magnitudes bigger (factor 100 and more) than MIDI files.
